About
The Company

The Real McCoy, LLC is a marketing firm based in Saint Louis, MO specializing in digital platforms. TRM utilizes a vast network of creative professionals to bring in the right team for any project. We tailor the team and specialties around specific goals. Now the team fits the project and doesn’t force the project to fit the team!

TRM has worked on projects for local small businesses, global non-profits, and even large national banks.

The key adjective used to describe all aspects of TRM’s work? Genuine. With so much advertising pushed in front of every-day consumers, the “average Joe” has become a savvy observer of marketing schemes and is capable of spotting “fake” quicker than he can scroll past you in a Facebook news feed. TRM is a pro at crafting a real voice and getting to the heart of the message.

About
The Philosophy

The Digital Age is full of possibilities and opportunities for effective marketing. However, with so many options, navigating the road to success can be confusing. Often a company’s online presence becomes splintered and disconnected from reality. TRM believes websites, social media, and multimedia can all work together to create a concise voice.

Even the best laid plans can be toppled by limited manpower and resources. TRM understands our grand plans will only be effective if they are sustainable by your company. That’s why TRM approaches every solution with your company at its heart. We create sustainable social media plans, easily-updated websites, and offer a variety of services which help companies reach goals and maintain an effective online presence.

Genuine Services

Marketing Strategy

Not many people would try to build a house without a blueprint. However, businesses often try to build their brand and reputation without a marketing strategy. And like a house built without a blueprint, brands built without a marketing strategy often don’t last long. TRM’s team will work with your business to help decide where you should spend your resources, who you should be targeting, and the voice that will gain a competitive edge.

Branding

One of the most critical components in a business’ success is branding: logo, mission, etc. These elements are the identifiers by which your company will be instantly recognized. Ironically, branding is often deemed unnecessary. Great products may be overlooked when they are packaged in a sub-par wrapper. Don’t let your business be passed over because the brand looks unprofessional or misses the mark.

Photography

Quality imagery is like icing on the cake. With easy access to digital cameras, Photoshop filters, and Instagram dedicating resources to photography can be a hard sell. But digital cameras and vintage filters don’t replace the eye of a talented visual storyteller. Whatever the project, superior photography can carry it from good to stunning. Amp up the effectiveness of any marketing material with distinctive images.

Videography

People interact with content in a variety of ways. Some prefer to read text, others would rather flip through a slideshow, while many want to watch information unfold in a video. To truly reach an array of clients, it’s wise to cater to all types. According to Nielsen, YouTube reaches more US adults ages 18-34 than any cable network. Are you taking advantage of YouTube’s staggeringly large audience? TRM has the expertise to harness the power of videography into an effective marketing tool.

Web Design/Development

Most businesses would agree they need a website. People are increasingly interacting with the world via the web. So why do most companies’ sites get the soggy end of the lollipop? Or only updated once every 5 years? An online presence needs an anchor website. So whether your business needs a brand new site or a facelift for an existing one, TRM’s team will master any web design and development project to create a relevant “home base” for your online presence.

Social Media

Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Yelp… The list goes on and on! TRM will identify which platforms are right for your company, along with how and when you should update them. We take the mystery and guessing out of social media. With a proven track record in growing audiences and increasing return on investment, TRM can make social media a valuable tool in your hands. Let us guide you through the social ins and outs.

Online Ad Campaigns

Advertising can be daunting. Deciding where and when to spend your money is rarely an easy decision. TRM will help explain and guide you through the process of setting up an effective online ad campaign to help drive traffic and increase business while staying within a set budget. You don’t need to go through this process alone when TRM is on the team.

Copywriting

Quality written content is the key to better search engine optimization (SEO), a cohesive voice, and just good reading. We really shouldn’t have to say more. Yet time and again “good enough” content winds up on websites every where. Somehow the word count got to be more important than the substance. TRM understands words are power and that’s why we offer first-class copywriting for all of our projects.

Langeneckert Homes

branding, logo design, web design, web development
Where We Started

Langeneckert Homes is a custom home builder located in the St Louis metro area. They’ve been around for over 27 years creating high-end homes with a knack for style and an eye for the details. Unfortunately, they’re brand didn’t convey this level of sophistication and was outdated. The Langeneckert logo was harsh and the colors of royal purple and gold didn’t match the classy technique for which they were known. Additionally, the website was old and didn’t display properly in newer browsers and was hard to update.

What We Accomplished

The Real McCoy teamed up with Langeneckert Homes to develop new branding materials. The existing logo imagery of a column was maintained but fonts, colors, and layout were changed to bring the logo up to current fashions. In addition, TRM created a new, fresh color scheme to compliment their updated logo. Once the logo and colors were created, TRM updated all of Langeneckert’s signs, letterheads, and business cards.

The final step was langeneckerthomes.com. TRM designed and developed a new responsive WordPress website using the new colors and logo. The responsive website was created using modern techniques: HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery. The site now displays great on phones, tablets, and desktops. Also, it is easily updated using the WordPress CMS.

The result is a sophisticated brand and website reinforcing Langeneckert Homes as taste-makers in custom homes and remodeling.

Where We Started

webEdify was a new offering by Practiced Strategies, Inc. The product was a web application directed specifically to non-profits. PSI charged The Real McCoy with taking a pre-purchased template, modifying it to be more appealing to their target demographic, identifying needed content, and writing the copy for the entire site.

What We Accomplished

TRM modified the template’s color scheme from darker greys and blacks to white and a light blue matching the logo. All the content was written in a friendly and approachable voice, clearly explaining the benefits of the new web application. Images were created for the top slideshow to appeal to non-profits and NGOs. The results was a bright and professional website and copy targeting webEdify’s desired demographic.

social media
Where We Started

Global Missions is a non-profit missionary organization sending evangelicals across the globe. GM operates 100% from donations. They had 2 Facebooks pages, one with an old name and approximately 4,000+ likes, and another with their new name and around 600 likes. GM wanted to migrate all of their fans on the old page to the new one and start a twitter account.

What We Accomplished

TRM successfully merged the two Facebook pages into one and migrated all of their likes and a Twitter account was created. TRM managed both accounts and grew the FB page to 14,000+ likes and the Twitter account to 1,600+ followers. The pages were updated regularly and donors were kept informed. The accounts regularly assisted in fundraising campaigns as well and drove traffic to Global Missions’ website.

Where We Started

The Jackson Boxing Club is a boxing club for young atheletes in Jackson, TN. Most of the club’s young participants went to the club faithfully after school to participate in boxing lessons as well as team-building and self-discipline training. Lighting in the club came primarily from two large garage doors facing west and made photographs difficult in the late afternoon.

What We Accomplished

Instead of working against the harsh light, the TRM photographer used the dramatic lighting to the photographs’ advantage and created compelling images of the young boxers sparing in the setting sun’s rays.

Golden Circle Exterminators

copywriting, web design, web development
Where We Started

Golden Circle Exterminators came to us with one simple request: help us a create a new website. Their current site was outdated and didn’t reinforce their commitment to the community and family-owned values. Also, users were confused about where to make online payments and the site was hard to navigate on a phone or tablet. Additionally the site couldn’t be updated by office staff.

What We Accomplished

TRM designed a new site which reinforced GCE’s professional ability and commitment to family-owned values. The new site is responsive and works well on mobile phones, tablets, and desktops. Payment links, Social Media icons, and contact information were placed on every page for easy access to customers. The site was developed on a WordPress CMS so office staff could easily update any content.

New content was written to help create a unified voice as well as boost search engine results by using applicable key words in relevant areas.

The result is a modern, professional, and easily maintained website with dynamic content and easy payment modules.

Originally the lab’s only online presence existed as a small page on the university’s Obgyn department website.

What We Accomplished

TRM created a simple, responsive WordPress website which could easily be updated. The new site showcased England Lab’s research, team members, and primary investigator’s biography. The site’s design adheres to Washington University’s stringent branding standards while maintaining an independent look.

PPH Social Media

Pentecostal Publishing House

Saint Louis, MO
social media
Where We Started

The Pentecostal Publishing House’s (PPH) social media was a sprawling unorganized effort. The company had multiple Facebook and Twitter accounts, none of which were updated regularly and interactions with followers were low. PPH wanted a plan to make sense of updating and organizing their various social sites. Originally they had 4 Facebook accounts, 10 Facebook groups, 2 Twitter accounts, and 1 YouTube channel. PPH hoped social media would help it develop a relevant voice, drive website traffic, and allow them to interact with their customers.

What We Accomplished

TRM created a plan which simplified the flow of content, creating an easy strategy for regularly updating each account while not over-taxing PPH’s time resources. Several FB accounts were deleted, another relevant twitter account and a new Pinterest were created. Each platform and account was assigned a specific purpose.

The strategy successfully allowed PPH to begin updating regularly and grew their primary Facebook page from 25,000 likes to 38,000+ likes in less than 6 months. Their magazine’s Facebook grew from 400 likes to 1000+ in the same time. Additionally, Twitter, Pinterest, and YouTube followings all grew dramatically. Interactions with their customers flourished and photos and updates were regularly shared 800+ times. Traffic to their ecommerce site grew as people were directed more and more to the company’s products from social media sites.

These efforts also helped promote a new devotional Bible being released in the Fall. The increased awareness via social media of of the Bible’s release contributed to a rise of $100,000+ in the online store during the products initial launch.
